Job Summary

We are currently looking for a Recruiter to support our Washington DC team. The Recruiter works with Leadership and Sr. HR Leaders the Washington DC office to determine hiring requirements. Partner with hiring managers to recruit and select qualified candidates. Analyzes hiring metrics to identify areas of opportunity for improved quality of hire. Recommend process improvements to reduce time to fill positions, align recruitment practices to employment branding and ensure compliance with EEO, FCC and AAP requirements.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Works with Management Area and Sr. HR Leaders to develop comprehensive recruitment strategy. Screens, selects, interviews and evaluates potential
  • Identifies/researches alternative recruitment methods such as online recruitment methods, professional organizations, technical programs and universities to target technically skilled individuals requiring highly specific industry
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws related to employment. Monitors internal compliance with EEO/FCC requirements related to
  • Provides recommendations to leadership in determining recruitment budget to include job fairs, campus events, recruitment tools and vendor
  • Writes and places advertisements and job postings
  • Ensures up-to-date recruitment metrics are maintained and provided to Senior Leadership on a weekly basis, detailing hiring activity to include: number of openings, average days open, average fill days, incumbent, location, business unit, status,
  • Identifies opportunities for participation in job fairs, campus recruiting events and handling employment/agency
  • Promotes equal opportunity employment by analyzing results of outreach efforts and modifying recruitment efforts based on those
  • Implements diversity recruitment initiatives and participates in applicable recruitment conferences and outreach
  • Ascertains applicants' qualifications by conducting interviews, tests, and reference checks, coordinates interview schedule with hiring manager and conducts intake meetings and feedback sessions.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date recruitment and applicant
  • Remains up-to-date on latest recruitment technologies, makes recommendations on recruitment sourcing initiatives and advises client groups of latest
  • Communicates hiring process to leadership and establishes positive working relationships with hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies per their business needs
  • Assist hiring managers with the development of job descriptions ensuring consistent practices
  • Work with group lead and hiring manager to ensure approvals and salary ranges are gained for opening requisitions and extending offers
  • Proactively source through research, applicant sourcing websites (Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.) cold- calling, referrals, organizations, events, etc. to generate qualified candidates
  • Pipelining and Talent Mapping to determine top talent in the Industry
  • Screen and submit resumes for open positions
  • Schedule and conduct interviews to determine organizational fit
  • Process, extend and negotiate offers as needed while maintaining confidentiality and respect at all times
  • Maintain applicant tracking system (Freshteam/Freshworks)
  • Achieve/exceed Team Recruiting Metrics on a quarterly and yearly basis
  • Assists in the interpretation of rules for employees and contractors concerning Human Resources
  • Contractor POC to respond to any position/salary related questions
  • Supports new hires in the completion of onboarding paperwork

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years full life cycle technical recruiting and sourcing experience in a high performing team environment
  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in order to be considered

Preferred Skills:

  • Must have a well-established network to aide in direct sourcing efforts
  • Ability to actively pipeline and talent map passive candidates
  • Strong sourcing skills (cold-calling and networking) resulting in filling highly niche roles
  • Experience recruiting for professional services firms, Experience with Freshteam ATS a plus
  • Ability to work in a virtual environment because stakeholders will be geographically dispersed
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations as applicable to the employment, recruitment and placement of new hires
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Ability to provide accurate and efficient service under the pressure of constant deadlines
  • Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities
  • Ability to gather data, consistently track metrics, and prepare reports
  • Ability to work with a high degree of self-direction and flexibility, especially with respect to taking initiative, prioritizing tasks, and resolving problems
